I know it’s hard to believe it’s that time of year already but it’s quickly approaching so be sure to mark your calendars now. You don’t want to miss out. Just ask anyone who went last year. The weekend kicks off with the OSSA board meeting on Friday followed by the Expo opening Friday at 4:00 pm. Have a GPS unit or avalanche beacon and not sure how to use it? Now is your chance to learn. On Saturday we will be presenting a two-hour and one hour seminar on GPS units. Bring your GPS and/or Avalanche Beacon with you to the seminars. For those of you who have someone who needs to get certified, there will only be one Safety Certification class offered at the SnoSports Expo & Convention this year. The class will be on Saturday and require pre-registration. Contact Dennis Jordan at 541-826-6326 to pre-register. Accommodations: RV camping is available on site at the fairgrounds. Spaces run $17.00/night for water & electric hookups and $5.00/night dry camping. Spaces are limited so make your reservations quickly. Call Cathy at the Linn County Fair/Expo Center at 800-858-2005 or 541-926-4314. We have selected the two hotels that are located right next to the Fairgrounds. Prices have been locked in until the middle of September. Be sure to tell them you’re with the Oregon State Snowmobile Association. Room pricing ranges from $69-$99 per night at both hotels.
