OSSA Convention-Banquet 2009

Bend, Oregon January 13-18, 2009
The 2009 OSSA convention will be held at the beautiful Riverhouse Convention Center, in Bend Oregon. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Riverhouse Hotel on a first come, first serve basis. Be sure to mention that you are with the OSSA Convention when making your reservations. The room rates are: $114.00 and $124.00. These special rates will only be available until December 15, 2008. There is adequate, secured parking on site for your vehicle and snowmobile trailer. In fact, you won’t even need to disconnect your trailer, as there is a lovely riverfront walk way from the Riverhouse Hotel to the Convention Center, so you won’t need to drive to or from the Convention site. Your registration fee includes: attendance to the Friday night Vendor’s Appreciation Event, with food, door prizes, and music provided; seminars, meetings, and raffle drawings all day Saturday; Saturday night Banquet includes a three course seated dinner (yes, we will all be eating at once – NO buffet this year!); and lots of guided rides in the beautiful Central Oregon mountains.

Registration is $45 per adult and $22.50 per child, when paid by November 30, 2008. If paid after November 30 and before December 31, 2008, registration is $50 per adult and $25 per child. No reservations will be accepted after December 31, 2008.

There will be no food available for last minute plans, or walk-ins.

                   The banquet will be held in the 16,000 Square foot Ballroom.

  Accommodations:    Rooms are available on a first come first serve basis at The Riverhouse located on the beautiful Deschutes River were there is plenty of secured parking for all size rigs.  Your room will be only a short walk along the river from the Convention Center.  Be sure to mention you are here for the OSSA Convention when booking your room as a block of rooms have been secured for this event.
 Other blocks are being held next door at the Shilo Inn and across the street at the Hampton Inn.

Rides:     Guided rides Tuesday through Sunday at various locations throughout our area include; the Ochocos, Paulina Lake, Crescent Lake, Diamond Lake, and Elk Lake areas (located in the     beautiful Deschutes National Forest).  Rides will accommodate all levels of riding ability from extreme in the Newberry Crater National Forest Roller Coaster and Hells canyon to a plethora of outstanding play areas in the Ochocos and Dutchman Flats.  Moon Mountain awaits those who want to really "high mark".  Come and enjoy some of the finest powder you will ever ride in!

Events:   Rides, Vendor show, free workshops, raffles for wonderful prizes,  entertainment and much, much more.  You must come for Convention 2009 for it will never be more centrally located!

Vendors: Sixty vendors from around the state of Oregon will be located in the 14,000 square foot Exhibit  Hall to display a wide variety of interesting items and information.  You won't want to miss this!  Vendors will be set up for viewing at 4:00pm on Friday and will remain available throughout the Convention.  A DJ will be on hand for your enjoyment throughout Friday evening.   Hosted appetizers will be served and a no-host bar will also be available for those who  come with a thirst.
 Raffle drawings will take place Friday evening and all day Saturday.

   Meals:   A lovely full continental breakfast comes with your room registration when you locate at The Riverhouse.  This is served every morning.  Nice to start your day out with a hardy breakfast before heading out to the mountain.   You will be on your own for the remainder of your meals until Friday and Saturday.

Friday:   Starting at 4:00pm you will enjoy a hosted appetizer mixer with a no host bar to rejoin old friends and mix with the many vendors available to you in the Exhibit Hall.

Saturday:   Continental breakfast and lunch on your own.  The banquet will begin at 5:00pm with a no host cocktail hour, followed by a sit down three course dinner starting at 6:00pm.  The dinner will remain a surprise for now, but it will be outstanding!

  If you have never attended an OSSA Convention before, now is the time to register for: "Powder in the Pines" Convention 2009.  You will never be more centrally located in the state of Oregon.  Come enjoy the driest powder the High Desert has to offer.  You can ride all day!
